"All That Remains"

Here is my submission for the Spring Tune Jam 2024!

My concept:
I can imagine this track playing in a platformer game set on a dystopian, war torn Earth.

My Work/Thought Process: 
With the theme being The Singularity, I wanted my track to have a sadder emotion, as an AI that surpasses human intelligence would immediately recognize humans as being a parasitic species harming the planet. I made a synth line the lead of the track to signify AI being in control, but added in violins & choirs to convey humanity's involvement.

What I've Learned:
I appreciated all the support/responses on my post for the Spooky Jam last year! This is the second game track I've done now, and some of y'alls responses helped me make this one! First, I tucked the drums in the track more, and let the leads/melodies drive the track, and let the drums just complement it. I also wanted to make sure the synths/drums/melodies sounded more "video game-y" this time around so I did much more sound design to convey that. Finally, I faded out the track to give the sense that this track could be looped, whether it's being played in a menu screen or a level.
